Where... water valve and light fuses...

Post by benica »

Apologies all....
Tried by myself and with shop and broker to no avail...
Need help...someone familiar with the 1997 355 aft cabin.
7.4 engines.
Just acquired this vessel yesterday...went for broke and don't want to regret it...
Filled the water take...50 or so gallons added. Water level guage near the sink shows...E.
We know the tank is full...
I am thinking...must be a shut off turn on switch...somewhere. No water at the faucets coming out. Generator panel...all switches...on.
Any idea where a water on off switch breaker is located?
If the boat has one.
Electrical...outlets work, plugged in fans....working...but no interior lights! Perhaps the water issue and interior lights....same breaker switch? Refrigerator works, microwave ok, outlets ok...just no interior lights.
Not finding a breaker box..
Appreciate the potential help from your experts!

Ok, your 120 volt system works as everything you mention working is 120. Sounds like your 12 volt is off. All switches on your panel are on, including the 12 volt switches. Is your battery selector switch turned on? It is under the bottom step going up to the deck. Just lift that step. There are several additional breakers there including your battery switch. If the switch is off, nothing 12 volt will work including starting the engines.

I’m assuming your 355 is set up pretty much the same as my 356. The panel you mention next to the dinette is everything electrical, not just the genset. Left side is your 12 volt system and right side is your 120 volt system. All interior lights, water pump breaker and everything operated by battery are on the left side..12 volt.

Also, once you verify your 12V system is energized, see if you have a breaker for your water monitor. On our 396 there is a breaker specifically for the water monitor that needs to be turned on. (see pic below). Also, the ""Pressure Water Pump" breaker on your DC panel should be turned on to get pressure to your water system.
