Winterization done

All is done except the engines. Tomorrow we head up the Wareham river to storage.

Sigh. Last breakfast aboard this am. Planned good to be run down to bare minimum. 6 bottles of water , 5 K Cups, 2 eggs and minimal in fridge or cabinets. She is all winterize as for systems except engines which Zecco does. Heading up the Wareham tomorrow.

Looks like a pretty nice way for you to end your season. Now we begin to plan next season.

It was. However, my body is all messed up. We usually go home to the land yacht Sunday Am to do laundry and resupply and go back aboard Monday again for the week. We went home last night (Saturday) and my body knew I was not sleeping on the water, so it automatically awoke me at my regular wake up time of 2:15 AM today.

No other words !

Geez, now I'm hungry for breakfast! I used this same strategy on my booze cabinet. "Drained" a quarter bottle of gin, 3 premaid margarita's, 1 pecan whiskey. Then I realized I store in warm storage, with winter access. Now I gotta go to the supplies store! er

Breakfast is ALWAYS better on the water!!

AND she sits awaiting her fate of haulout. One quick one, that Sideshifter was an awesome project and upgrade.

The lift out is something I can't watch. 25 years ago I saw a boat fall off a fork lift style lift. It went so slow, it was just traumatizing. I realize it is much different with the travel lift, but I'm sure it still happens. She sure looks clean and shiny! er

Especially when those old straps start really squeaking, or the lift starts to move and all the joints start making noises. For years I was hoisted on one of those old "railroad" style lifts and in one marina my boat was the largest one they took out and they had a pretty small lift. Always kept my distance on that one!

She shines well for a 1994, and gets a lot of love and attention. We were in the boat last spring when they lowered into the water. Was NOT a fan of that. Last marina with my 2850 Contessa, they used a forklift and mine would teeter, until they put a strap on it. This is not for the faint of heart. And the creaking is real!
