Kohler 3kw generator not putting out power

Kohler 3kw generator not putting out power
So I started my generator like I normally do just to keep things working and it starts fine but, never kicks in to "high gear" and start putting out power. Just stays in the "idel" mode. Starts and stops with no problem. Never had the issue before. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Check the governor/throttle linkage.....maybe lubricate if it is stuck or binding.

Have you looked for fuses on the unit and ensured they're all okay?

Only saw one fuse and it was fine. Im hoping it was just really cold and was taking a while to start up. It finally kicked in after about 5-8 mins.

About a month. Going to lubricate a few things to make sure nothing is sticking.

Anyone ever have the brushes go bad as being the cause the generator not putting out power?
