I attached a photo of where the rear AC is located for reference. Mine was removed before the purchase, so just need the make and model number so I can acquire it. Any alternatives are also welcome. The FWD AC has a Cruisair stowaway v sh12/ 12000 beta. Icemaker brand and model number too if you're super bored

You don't want an exact replacement for that a/c unit. It's no longer made, and is loud. Buy a modern scroll compressor unit. It will be in the 12 000 to 16000 btu range. 12000 is to much for the forward. Should be in the 8000 btu range. Too big and the thing cycles to often and never runs long enough to remove all the moisture.
Maybe move the 12,000 to the main cabin and buy a smaller one for the staterooms and head.

Re: 1984 Carver Mariner 3697 rear Ac model number request
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought about having new AC vent ducts splitting off FWD AC to reach the rear of the boat but that wouldn't suffice. Not sure why they would have a 12k BTU in FWD and probably smaller in the rear. The 12k BTU fits perfectly under the FWD bed but could be put where the rear AC was sideways and into the icemaker space. A 12K BTU with that one corner vent is enough to cool the rear of the boat?

Pull the ice maker. Take the wall apart between it and the a/c space. And slide the a/c in.
I think 12 000 is enough, but that's me. Get some more opinions.

Re: 1984 Carver Mariner 3697 rear Ac model number request
I agree with Waybomb on the sizing suggestions. I had a 3607 and used a 9k in the aft cabin and it was more than enough there for both heat and A/C, and I think that's a lot more space than the fwd berth in the 3697. Perhaps if I was in Florida that might not have done the job though.
btw, if you're looking for any parts to either do the installation or to customize (maybe add some additional registers to distribute the output better), then check out this post: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3330&p=21762&hilit=hvac#p21762 I still have a bunch of the stuff left over and you could get whatever you need pretty inexpensively!
