Hi team-Carver!
Hope all is well with everyone! As I continue to ready my new (to me!) 2001 466 MY for my first season on the water, I have noted that my boat is quite naked, that is to say, it has none of the original Carver Logos and almost none of the original pinstriping (the boot stripe is there and in good condition - the rest are gone). I am not too concerned about the pinstripe - I can get what I need pretty much anywhere. The logos are another matter.
I have found the correct "CARVER" logo for the transom and upper deck sides (Carver Part #8150466) but cannot find the "FOUR SIXTY SIX" or "MOTOR YACHT" logos (part #s 8148812 and 8148819 respectively) anywhere to date (Etsy, eBay, Great Lakes Skipper, etc). See parts manual pics below. Does anyone have any ideas on where I might be able to find these (or even have them made)? I will continue my hunt but am hoping my trailblazer Carver-cousins may have some clues. Looking forward to any info anyone might have.
Thanks to all,
Dave B

Re: In Search of DECALS for my 466
I had searched high and low over the years and was actually going to have some waterjet cut out of stainless until I came upon this place called domed lettering. I had the 41CMY and rear CARVER made up in domed chrome mirror format using the "Carver" style they offer. Really pleased with the results. One issue though, they will not allow you to order Carver as it is copyright. Easy fix, asked for ARVERC and moved the C in front.
I measured my existing height and length to order mine. https://domedlettering.com/matching-styles/
One more tip for a better price was when I had the 41CMY made up in 2 individual orders (1 for each side) they charged me much more than when I simply made 1 order for "41CMY 41CMY".

Good ideas there Hans.
One other to consider would be marine salvage yards, there has been many storm destroyed boats recently especially in Florida that may have all you need in the form of letters/logos. Worth the search.
To add, I have had local sign shops make up decal style lettering/logos to match....they can do anything now.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I did the same thing when I needed to get the registration numbers for my PWCs. Instead of ordering two sets, I ordered just two, with the number/letter repeated on both. Saved quite a bit.Midnightsun wrote:QR_BBPOST....

Hi Hans and team! Thanks for these replies - very helpful. I have been out to this site now. I am going to but the "CARVER" domed-lettered decals from Great Lakes, and use this sight to determine font to have the others created. Very cool! I am hoping this is a 1-time event for me! I will let you know how they come out!
Thanks to all - love the forum!

Great Lakes has a lot of those lettering options for various brands. Glad you found them.
