Crusader 454xl no start
Hey guys I'm stomped I'm thinking a carb rebuild? When I put fuel into the carb it tries to start. So I took a loose the fuel line from the pump to see if it was working.... And of course fuel came out at a pretty good speed. So the fuel pump is working but still no start.... Again if I put fuel in the carb it tries to start cuts off after a second. Any ideas?

Re: Crusader 454xl no start
By chance have you looked for a possible small fuel filter mounted on the carb right where the fuel line connects to the carb?

Depending on your carb, there could also be a very small filter (either sintered bronze or paper) inside the inlet fitting on the carb. This is what the filter looks like.
This is a different carb, but shows the filter as part #15.

Re: Crusader 454xl no start
If its a carb........inlet filter, stuck float, needle and seat stuck, accelerator pump bad and clogged idle circuit/jets could all be an issue.
This all assumes you have proper spark/ignition at the plugs.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
