Repair wall covering

Post by tgebler »

I have a 2000 396 aft cabin. Some of the vinyl wall covering is sagging (best description I can provide). Has anyone dealt with this issue and, if so, how did you fix it. Is it possible to fix the sags without replacing the wall covering? I should point out that I have limited skills. I guess I should have gotten vocational training instead of law school!!

Depends on where the "sags" are. Sometimes, you can remove the trim above or to the side of the area to locate & remove staples then re-stretch the fabric and re-staple. My guess is there's something else going on to cause the foam backed vinyl to de-laminate in the first place.
