It's simply mind boggling how long it takes to find every little detail and correct things on a boat. Either from the factory or previous owners. Not like one is working on these things regularly however there is always something that needs to be looked at or modified to suit ones liking. Never ending story as I like to call it. Chalk up another good find in your case.

Yes I agree. I can spend hours doing odds and ends on this boat while the Admiral reads and relaxes. It's never right till it's right!

Pep...you can fit/glue small plastic screens over those scupper drains... they can be cobbled up quite easily.

Here is a partial picture of my rear deck. Water can flow all around the small crack of the rear deck and enter a channel that leads to 2 large drains. No way to get to the drains without removing the entire rear deck which is not an easy job. The other issue is a screen would block up much too easy and you would not be able to get to them since the rear deck would hide the screens.

In your pic there that shows the scupper drains .....two of them by the hatch.....the plastic screens are flat and would fit on top of them....the holes are not so small as to block small stuff.

I have had the same set up, that is what helped, except for the gigantic dock spider nests which required a shop vac and water pressure.....

So update. No more water on my house batteries, they were installed near the hot water tank. Anyway, come back and still see a bit of water in bilge. It was raining and got to see a trickle of water coming down the vent hose going to the engine bay. I did jack-up that hose and reduced the flow to about 80%. There was still some. I removed the vent cover and modified it so that water cannot ever go down but air can. We shall see….before you ask, I did the mod on both sides.
