instrument gauge update

Post by Johns55690 »

Hello all,
I have a 1997 405 with 7.4 xli and I would like to update all the dash gauges. Are there any gauges available that are basically plug and play without changing out sending units or wiring connectors and fit the existing holes in the dash? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Tim

Not sure if you're still looking, but pending oh how much you want to spend, There are a couple digital replacement options out there. If your 1/2 handy, and don't mind running wires I'm really considering doing this to my 2003, 396. you would need to get a new piece of plastic CNC'd as well.

I have the same engines and if you'd like to see the ecm data displayed on a nmea2000 network or bluetooth to your phone or iPad. Take a look at fox marine they have gateways that are plug ND play and gives more info tan you may want but work really great..
