Congratulations! Next week, I will have owned my Carver 406 for 1 year. All my planned projects are done, now just buying fuel and maintenance parts. Best of luck, as you pointed out already, this is a great forum.

Very good! Consider a cruise to NE WI. Door County is just stunning to boat around, and my marina in Menominee is also a great stop. Gas is generally .50 to a buck less than Door County side. We never got over 3.70 gal. last season. 8-) er

That’s a great tip, thank you! My wife’s family has a place in Egg Harbor and we spend a lot of time up in Door County. A cruise up there is definitely on the list of things to do with the new boat!

Great. We are 18 miles due west from Egg Harbor. I am in D 3, you will figure it out when you see Cooler. If you spend an overnight, request slip E 2. Great slip on the bulkhead. Menominee is a Boat US marina, so rates are discounted more. We also have a great restaurant within walking distance. I am there a lot (retired), so my car is available to use when you're there. The cruise from Milwaukee is real easy, just pick the right day weather wise. Good luck. 8-) er
