Flush mount Rod Holders
I bought some flush mount rod holders and went to install them today. While drilling pilot hole I hit wood at about 1 inch. Is there a spot to install them that has nothing under the fiberglass. The boat is a 1989 Santego 640 model 3897. Thank you for any advise

Re: Flush mount Rod Holders
Carver supplied these on boats where rod holders were ordered as an option - you don't need to drill a big hole, and you can remove the rod holder when you don't need it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amarine-made-St ... SwEK9TviFu
