Looking for a replacement rod that holds the aft stairs hatch up (where the shore power cords are stowed) on a 2002 346 Aft Cabin. Even the proper name of that part would help
Thanks, Brad

A few different things are commonly used for that purpose but most popular are air shocks or spring supports for hatches, lids, etc.

Post up a pic of what you're looking for. If it's a gas strut then if you get the dimensions (full open length, full closed length and diameter) you can match it up with many products out there. If it's some weird size there's a place in Kentucky or Tennessee that can rebuild them. I forget the name of the place but found it after poking around when I was looking for some really small ones for a jetski several years ago.

You can get them on Amazon. If you're going with a gas strut/air lift, go with a stainless steel model.
