Replacement shower control lever 1999 350 Mariner

Post by RuffLife »

When recommissioning this spring, we found out that the shower control lever was leaking. Looks like the washers in the cartridge dried out over the winter. Having a heck of a time finding a replacement cartridge or even a full shower control lever. Anyone else had to replace theirs or know of one that would work? Ordering one directly from Carver looks like it may take several weeks.

Saw this one on one of the Canadian marine stores website but can't tell if it will work.

I had a leaky shower single lever shower facet on my 32 ft Regal. The cartridge was cracked and leaking behind the wall into the bilge. Regal didn't have the part but the below web site did. I had to send pictures and dimensions of the cartridge since mine did not have a part number to cross reference. The people were very helpful and found my cartridge. Made me a happy boater again.

Thanks! I don't see any cartridges specific to the brand that Carver used but maybe there is another one that will work. I will send that link to the guy who is doing the work. He now has the whole assembly with him.

We are about to move on board for the summer so this is a giant PITA!

RV store should be able to help.

I did a retro fit in my Silverton 42C with one from Home Depot. Was a simple switch with not much screwing around.

Is it a Scandvik fixture? If it is, I just ordered some faucet parts direct from them, they have all the parts you could need.

Thanks everyone. Ended up ordering a whole replacement Scandvik unit. Not exactly the same as our old one but it looks like it will work. We will find out on Thursday.

Of course in the meantime, we have noticed a puzzling issue with our hot water so off to start another thread :banghead:
