Sofa cover material - Sources

Postby GFB » April 8th, 2025, 9:36 pm

Hi
My 2001 Mariner 350 needs some internal repairs on the sofa. Trying to find the a source for the vinyl material ie a colour match for the original Carver colour swatches.

I'm in Ontario Canada so any local sources appreciated if you know some...

Thanks!

You can try a local custom auto upholstery or fabric stores if ya can still find one ... :-D I used my auto guy for all the sunbrella fabric when we restored one boat.

Another may be marine canvas places, some will have access to suppliers of different marine fabrics/vinyls....what area of Ontario are you near ?

If Georgian bay around Midland, try Sylvain at Georgian canvas, he always treated us fairly. Couple years back though, hopefully still around.

I am sure there are many more.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.....

He’s still there. I have become a frequent customer of Sylvain with all the canvas on my rig.
Still a great guy doing great work for fair prices too. I have a couple pieces in there getting restitched as we speak.

Hi and thanks. Unfortunately I'm around Ottawa with the boat in Gananoque so shipping would be an issue... Probably should have said that first... Thanks though, my friend is in your area and he is always looking for suppliers, I'll pass along the info...
