Kohler 6.5 genset issue

I've a similar issue. Same 6.5cz. On a 1997 Carver 325 Aft Cabin.
Genny starts fine runs approximately 2 minutes and turns off. No power on guages of breaker panel, restarts without trouble runs smooth shuts down again in 2 minutes.
Good water flow.
Recently replaced capacitor with 20mfd (original) thinking about upgrading to 25mfd.
Replaced carburetor.
Last owner replaced oil sensor with (assumed compatible part) unable to determine oem or compatible parts. Have manual and it doesn't specify.
