i desperately need this part shaft log does anyone know where i can get it from

If you're looking for new, Buck Algonquin makes a lot of that stuff. But you might have to buy the whole assembly rather than just that part. One source (not sure of the size though): https://www.generalpropeller.com/buck-a ... x-00pb138g
If you're OK with "previously-owned", and would prefer someplace local, then there's two places to check:
Marine Sales&Repair Inc in Clinton Twp, just west of Jefferson on South River Road. They scrap out all kinds of boats and have all kinds of stuff packing their building.
Checker Marine salvage in LaSalle Michigan.
