ISO 1993 Carver 390 CPMY flybridge enclosure

Post by jrmiddleton22000 »

Hello Carver owners.

Wondering if anyone has run into a flybridge enclosure for sale.
I have a 1993 Carver 390 CPMY. She came with a Bimini top and a front window that zips on but it gets pretty windy while cruising. Anyhow, just trying my luck. I got quoted 15k for a whole new Bimini set up and canvas enclosure from little house of canvas but that's pretty dang expensive.
Thanks,
Jeremiah

Buy a juki or a sailrite sewing machine and make it yourself. We did.
Sunbrella is about 20 bucks a yard.
A juki is about 1800
A sailrite is maybe 1000.
Thanks

You're probably not going to find one that will fit, but will have to have something made.

But check around with other boaters in the area to see who they used. There were premium places around here that charged top dollar and did great work, but there were others that did some pretty good work (maybe not quite as "polished' as the top guys, but plenty good) and they were significantly less money. We found ONE couple that did work as a side job and they were VERY inexpensive but you did have to have patience. But they would also make work-a-rounds that no one else would do which also were MUCH more economical to other solutions (which were usually "replace it all"!)
