Carver solon and state room light trim ring replacement solution

Where do you get these? Also where do I get the led bulbs? Any part numbers etc. Thanks.

How I put them on was with tiny magnets I ordered from Amazon.
On the light fixture there are 2 small carbon screws that hold the fixture together.
I stuck the magnets to the screws then lifted the trim ring onto the magnets.
It would be better if there were more screws so you add more magnets because it's kind of flimsy, but once the trim is on it's not going to fall off. They look better if you still have the frosted glass lens.
If you want the rings to be held on more securly you can change the small stainless screws to carbon steel screws that hold the fixture to the ceiling and use more magnets.

The bulbs are very common. What is most import is they say G4[/b] which is the base of the bulb and what they fit into.

I took a different approach replacing all my ceiling lights with Dream Lighting 2.5W (current version is 2.7w) 12V LED Recessed Down Light Car Interior Lighting Interior Roof Ceiling Light Cabinet Lamp. They are much cooler temperature wise and come in warm or cool white. They literally pushed right into the same sole with no modification. Walmart sells them for about 6 dollars each in a 10 pack for $60 US

I have had them installed for two years now and no issues whatsoever. In fact, since they were so inexpensive, I bought an extra 10 pack just in case.

I did the Dream lighting as mentioned above probably 8 years ago. They were a breeze to install and have been working flawlessly ever since. Same light but got mine on Amazon.

I got the gold covers because that was what the originals were until they crumbled from the Halogen bulbs. Of course I used G4 LEDs
