Mona passage to PR

Post by Scubabubbles »

Hello! We have a 1993 Carver 440 aft cabin twin Cat 3116 engines that we are planning on cruising the Bahamas with. Has anyone taken their 440 down south as far as Puerto Rico?

We are curious to know what others think of this also. I've been investigating a trip to PR (which we love) after we do the loop next year. I've heard pros and cons on both sides. Most of the negatives are around fuel, water and the risks with following seas. I know that our 506 has issues with 4ft+ following.
