1995 Carver355 Aft Cabin Gas Guages
Can anyone explain how the gas guages are supposed to work with the switch on the dash for the auxiliary tank. Just bought the boat and I don't think they are working properly.Right now without touching the switch it reads 1/8th for the port tank which has 40 gallons in it and 1/2 for the starboard when I hit the switch. The gage above the switch reads empty all the time I think because the auxiliary tank is empty. Also, does the auxiliary tank feed the Portland starboard engines and do you have to turn on the valve for the auxiliary on the manifold with the valves for the tanks

Welcome to the forum... Sorry can't help with the switches.
Just a heads up.....if this boat is new to you,( considering the inherent issues with those aux tanks), I might consider asking the previous owner if the aux tank was actually used regularly. If nothing there then a good idea might be to get the tank checked properly before you consider adding fuel to it.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
