On our way back from an outing this year I noticed that the helm seat was rocking back and forth on its mount.... not good!. Took it apart and brought the swivel base home for investigation. Here is my video of the repair

Re: Helm Seat Base Repair
Nice job! I wish we had that helm seat. We have the bench seat on ours and its not the most comfortable seat for long cruises. Have thought of replacing the bench with either a captains chair like you have or at least a bench with a bolster.

Nice video!
A couple of questions ...
1. It appears that you have two damaged holes. Did you drill out new holes for both?
2. With the new hole(s), did the undamaged holes/bolts line-up or did you have to drill out additional holes?
We also have the bench and would rather have the individual captain seat like yours. The port passenger seat is a single and wobbles. Fixing is on my to do list. Your video will help!
Thanks,
Tony

I drilled out 4 holes which kept the spacing uniform around the circle. The other 2 original holes although still intact were showing signs of stress. I am thinking of adding 4 more screws to this assemble just to spread the load out even more.
