AC Line leak in 444CPMY

Post by Boatmiester »

It's a 2002CPMY collecting water in rear bilge compartment. Only occurs when AC is running. There is a leak in system and its not an inoperable sump.

Any ideas?

If it only happens when the AC is running then it could be the condensate line that's leaking somewhere between the drip tray on the AC unit and the sump. Could be a loose hose, cracked fitting at the sump, a tare in the hose, etc. The other possibility is a leak in one of the raw water lines or fittings on the inlet or outlet circuit. A small leak may not be that noticeable but if it were a large leak, you'd be getting an awful lot of water as it's under pressure, and a bilge pump would likely be coming on all the time while the AC was running.
