Looks like the helm seat base has something under it, there are two black tabs that appear to have key slots.....cant find any keys to fit and no info in the Carver suitcase full of info.....can anybody fill me in here..as usual I always forget to get pictures of these things. :help: ...Thanks
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Behind the places where the keys would go in there a a button that should release the latches if they are not locked

Okay they are locked. Well just returned from boat and cannot find a key that fits those locks. :banghead: Fraser could you tell me if it is a separate key just for that ?,does it look like the ignition keys.... found about twenty keys and the only one that even comes close is for our dock box LOL. :beergood:

Ours were unlocked when took delivery and I left it that way. We went through our key collection and pared it down to the ones we knew were important never really tried any in those locks to that storage compartment.

Just a hail mary though.... those buttons are sometimes really tight. After I opened that area for the first time I gave the latches a good oiling.

Good Luck

Bump......tried every key, lubed them, nothing, even tried keys from everything else ( truck, house padlocks etc ) if someone knew whether it was a separate key dedicated to those locks or ignition, or door key it would be a great help.... :help:
