1995 crusader 454XL TBI spark timing

1995 crusader 454XL TBI spark timing. Not sure if it is in initial timing mode or run mode? Can anyone tell me what plug is correct for run. Will not rev over 3000 rpm.

Neither of those is the connector your looking for. There is a 2 pin connector with 1 wire on each end imprinted on the connector as the yellow tag states it will say run and time. To time you seperate it and reverse the connection and plug into itself again. It should be close to those connectors in the pic

I have the manual that depict what has been do scribed. I have been all over these motors and can not find such a plug. These are the only plugs I can find.

Thanks you have been a great help. A picture is worth 999 words.
Great pics. It answers my question about the plugs I have. Now my question is does your boat rev to 4000 and are the two wires connected in the plug or disconnected? In other words does the plug complete a closed or open circuit two be in the run mode? Do pin A and B need to be connected to be in run mode?

I can't read the plug. Is it pictured in run mode or time mode?

My under standing, after reading the manual is that yours is in the same mode as mine. There is an open circuit between pins A and B and it should be closed to be in run mode. I hope this is the correct assumption. This would explain the rich idle and not revving to full rpm. To get max timing advance I believe the circuit should be closed? I will check this theory with my timing light when I get to my boat this weakened.

i took these pics last night sorry but the pic shows the 2 pin connector in run mode, the arrow is pointing to run. i tried cropping it you may be able to make out run upside down by my thumb nail. my boat does make the recommended 4400 rpm wot out on the lake. have you considered your fuel filters. i have 3 from crusader on this engine. from experience i do know they will keep you from getting max rpms. just a thought i hope you will post your findings when you figure this out. let me know if i can help more
