New to Carver - 1983 Riviera

Post by Passin'Gas »

I am taking delivery of a 1983 Riviera this week. I have loved this boat since the 80s. I am coming from a single engine 24' Larson Delta Conic cruiser, so this will be quite the adjustment.

Hopefully, I'll be able to learn some tips and information about the Riviera and the systems onboard.

2017 will be a fun season!!! BTW....All the Trent Canal locks in Ontario will be free in 2017. It'll be a good year to explore.

This is a pretty interesting piece of news. It will be interesting to see the effect of this on the economies of the towns that the Trent passes through next summer. We live just outside of Fenelon Falls and It is a real hub during the lock season.

My issue will likely be the amount of boats on the canal during the weekends. I can imagine huge lines through some of the smaller locks. However, let's hope boaters take advantage of the smaller canal towns and experience life on land.
