I was winterizing my Carver 46MY, ran antifreeze through the gen and noticed the muffler has a water pickup but no strainer or anyway to get antifreeze in. Do I have to remove the water intake hose from the pickup and drain it out? Help please
thanks
Dave

Are you sure it's a water pick up or is it underwater exhaust? Some installs incorporate gas/water separation mufflers. These discharge the gases above the water line and the cooling water below the water line so you don't get a constant splashing at anchor when the generator is running. Does your set up look something like this? http://www.centekindustries.com/gen-sep.html Can you post a pic of the muffler?
Are you still in the water or out for the winter?
