They are gone, as in they used to be there but no more?
Or, they don't work, gone?
Thanks

Welcome aboard. Ya we need more details though I suspect maybe you mean the tabs themselves are no longer there but the rest of the hardware is? Have you confirmed they're actually missing or do you mean they just don't work?

they are gone,I can feel the hinges but no tabs,I read somewhere that this was an issue with carver but I cant remember where,Ive only had to boat for two months and it hasn't been started in three years so Ive been busy with engines v drives and trannies, now its time for the tabs that aren't there,I have controls on bridge and can see the pump in the engine room that is just sitting there unattached,so that will have to be dealt with also,Like everything else on this boat Im sure it will be a major stroke but it will be right before Im done with it,I just dont know where to start, schematics I suppose, any help would be much appreciated

Welcome aboard! May I suggest you figure out what size they were and replace with a whole new units. They may have been Barrett's, but based on the age they must be, parts may be extinct by now. Then again you may find a salvage units online some where? Mike

Post a picture of the pump, it'll help us determine what you have.

I have tabs on my 355 and I believe they work, (they did when I bought it) but I never have the need to use them. Does everyone else use their tabs regularly?

I also have a 1982 355 ac SeaRay,I use them all the time, the big boats are designed to ride bow high for stability and its a must to get the bow down when you are on plane, plus when you have a lot of souls on board they are great when your heavy on one side.
