I've lived there. Honestly, I don't think it can compare to St Louis, much less MS.

Yes indeed km1125 I am in Mississippi. I have had temps in the 90's on Christmas Day here before. So A/C is a must for the living area and helm and area under the hard top.

So yesterday I reached out to a company who can supply me pigtails for my current shore power cords for only $99 plus tax.
I also reached out to an electrician to come to the slip and giive me an estimate.

Generator is a 10,000 watt Kohler 10E with 700 now. I bought it with 611 hrs. When I load it down with everything fridge, lights and both a/c's running. It is showing about a 25% load on the panel. So I would think it could carry a 3rd 16kbtu? 80 to 85% of the time will be on shore panel though.
The panel even has a breaker for the 3rd unit.

sounds like a plan and the 10 e will have no issues running anything plus the 3rd ac. my 405 like yours with 10e and set up for third ac which makes having the aft cabin great to sleep in. even with everything running i may approach 80% of its rating nice to have the larger genset.
i know you had a lost your boat keys in a post awhile back what did you eventually do? obviously your back boating. just wondering.

Just a reminder, make sure he is current with marine wiring practices to be safe.

Definately go for dual 125v 50a if the marina is picking up the bill. On a 16 mile landlocked lake it's not like you will be travelling to several other marinas when you can get home in less than 2 hrs at idle speed form the farthest part of the lake. Hopefully he is familiar with Marine electrical. 125v 50 amp requires much heftier wires than 125/250 and as mentioned the plugs are not compatible with each other.

Electrician does my flip houses so I trust him as he is very knowledgeable. He is currently working on a new luxury subdivision in my area wiring new construction.
Naturally he is not as in tune to marine applications as ya are so that is why I ask here first.

So he stopped by and found a Marico EEL pigtail I did not even realize I had in a cubby hole. A Marinco p30-503 EEL 50A-125V Female to 30A-125V Male Pigtail adapter.

It works perfect and is running both my A/C's and I have ordered another pigtail like it.

One of you nice guys gave me a link to order new ignition switches and I ordered from the link. Both switches were $16 a piece. I installed them and they worked flawlessly. They are the basic 3 prong type.

So life is good right now. I just need time to clean her up and moisturize the wood among other things.
