Carver 466 - how to activate external speaker?

Hello everyone...question? We purchased a 2003 Carver 466 last year and it has an external speaker like a bull horn mounted on top of the arch and I can not figure out how to activate it via the VHF radio. I assume this was part of the standard configuration of the boat but not 100% sure. Any ideas how this is activated if you have a similar set-up as I can not find anything about it in the ICOM instructions.

Exactly how is dependent on the VHF radio. Most I have seen have a dedicated button for the PA function. Perhaps the radio was replaced by the prior owner. On the plus side that would give you a reason to shop for an upgrade.

Go to the ICOM US website. You can download literature for just about everything they have ever sold. Find you model and go from there.
