Shrink wrapping

Post by Grafunkus »

Hi,

We just bought a 33ft Carver Mariner and I have some questions regarding the shrink wrapping of the boat over the winter. I am concerned about moisture that could be left in carpeting, upholstery etc and the wrapping it up and causing mold over the winter. Is this an issue or am I just being paranoid??? The previous owner didn't cover it at all.

They usually install some vents in the plastic.
Make sure they block the bow up and the drain plug is out.
Everything should be ok.
Thanks

Besides venting, there are a couple of products out there that collect moisture. There are mildew bags and buckets, etc.Check your marine store and they can guide you.
