What size boat stands do I need?

Postby Jeff Thornton » September 21st, 2015, 1:26 pm

So a not so local yard has an over abundance of stands.

Power boat and sailboat stands available, some are Brownell and some are Hostar. Different sizes to choose from, they are rusty but solid. $50 for sailboat stands and $35 for powerboat stands. Two large SP stands 62" to base of screw jack, three SP stands 48",five stands 21" and 4 stands are 13" .

What size an how many would I need for my 1989 2757 Montego?

Probably 21"
48" is way to high. The boat is supposed to rest on the keel blocks, and the stands keep it from falling over. Chain them together.
Thanks

I agree with WB and would use 4 Brownell stands,IMO they're better quality.
