Replacing Hydraulic hose

Post by cyclebender »

Just purchased a 1987 32 Mariner. Any one familiar with changing a hydraulic steering hose? Mine must have a leak, all fluid runs out immediately after filling reservoir, drain to bilge are next to AC pump.
Thanks for any help provided.

It would be easier to find the leak and splice.
And of course figure out why the hose failed.

Do you have the hynautic system with the 5/16 plastic hose? Ebay will be your friend. I don't believe fittings nor hose is available, by could be wrong. I attempted to get some hose from a local hydraulic house and they could not get it. So I went with ebay.
Thanks
