Hi folks, a great forum you have here, lots of great info. Apologies if this is a duplicate, I did a search and couldn't find a thread with this info so hoping someone can help.
We're in the process of making an offer on a 355 Aft Cabin 1997 model year. Wondering what the status of wood core and stingers on this boat would be. I have been looking for a phone number to call carver but have been unsuccessful to date in finding one. An email to them has had no response.
Appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks!!
Lee

Re: Stringers & Core - 355 Aft Cabin
The 370 Voyager is an awesome boat. Built on the same hull as the 355/356 Aft Cabin and has wood free stringers. It had several different layouts in it's production life and all were nice. The salon and galley areas are fine for headroom (I'm 6'5) as well ... FYI found this info on here if it helps! Mike

Re: Stringers & Core - 355 Aft Cabin
We bought a 1998 355 last spring. No wood below the water line and no wood in the stringers.
Even with this you should have it surveyed. we had no issues but I believe some of these boats (and many others) have some blistering issues. Not a deal breaker, but if your boat of interest has any, it would be best to have them repaired prior to purchase, or have the price adjusted accordingly.
BTW, we love our 355.
