Telephone Jack to USB Conversion
Those outdated telephone jacks can easily be converted by using one of these if you have decora style plugs on board that is. In my case it is a simple swap except I obviously need to supply the new unit with 12v dc. Thought this might interest others. https://www.amazon.com/Magnadyne-Black-Mount-Charging-12-16V/dp/B00ZOG6TBE/ref=lp_3034424011_1_1?srs=3034424011&ie=UTF8&qid=1535323490&sr=8-1

Re: Telephone Jack to USB Conversion
I did one that changed the "cig lighter (now called "power port") at the helm to USB power outlets for an iPad I use at the helm. I thought I was so smart until we whipped out the blower for inflatables and sure enough.... a cig lighter plug. I dman near passed out from having to blow those up! In hindsight it would have been smarter to get one of those plug in types, but no.... I had to do the more permanent thing and replace it.
