Showers
I'm a bigger guy at 6'3" 320lbs, and shower space is really important to me. I have been looking at the 97 to 2002' 350 Mariner as I have seen that it's got a fairly large shower. Are there other Carver's (or even other brands) that have a shower that large, or larger?
I'll be spending 2-3 days a week out on the boat, and don't really want to use marina facilities.
Thanks!

Re: Showers
Typically, showers don't get a lot of priority for space. Carver's are one of your best options because they normally produce boats with wider beams in relation to their lengths. I have a friend with a 350 about your size, and he uses the shower occasionally. Here is a link so you can see some floor plans and read some descriptions from Carver brochures.

Re: Showers
My observation of boat showers, unless you're looking at a boat over 60 feet, a good 5 psi fart will give you a concussion in any of them.

Re: Showers
The size of the shower always gets good comments on our 350.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: Showers
The biggest surprise for me when I first looked at my 3007 was the fact that it had a separate shower. A separate shower in a 30' boat is almost unknown. It it a huge shower, no. It it a usable shower and functional, yes.

Re: Showers
2001.....I am not completely sure but I think from 97 to about 03/04 when they redesigned the interior/upper deck, the head was basically the same give or take something small. I have come to notice many other small changes to other areas of the boat though, as they transitioned from the 97 model onwards. Check out the older brochures on the Carver yachts site.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: Showers
Our 355 MY has a nice size aft head shower, the forward head shower is the entire head as a shower.

Re: Showers
I second Bud's comment. The size of the entire head and shower is very good for a 36' boat. Only issue for you may be if you have to 'sit' on the bowl. It may be a tight fit on a later model year. Mine is an 05'.
