I am in the process of buying a 2000 CARVER 404 COCKPIT and have a survey coming up, Is there some specific things I should be looking for that are specific to Carver?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Survey including mechanical
Welcome to the forum and maybe Carver.....I think if you have a good surveyor he will know where to look on different models. Pretty much every boat that comes from any manufacturer will be unique with its own personality, from the original build and from it's previous owners....good luck with your purchase hope all goes well.....
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Be sure that he pressure tests the cooling system. It will let you know if the risers are due for a change.

Re: Survey including mechanical
I'm not aware of any thing Carver specific. Mine had a little water in the coring near the windless and a couple spots on the swim platform but nothing major boat wise. A separate engine survey is the best way to go, especially if it has diesels.
