366 canvas replacement

Post by hargsnz »

As a result of a waterspout / Tornado I now have all my canvas and clears blown out & I need to replace them. Originally they were supplied by "Prestige" Canvas but I can't find them anywhere. Anyone know if they are still in business or if anyone took over the business & has the patterns for replacement?
Sadly when I took a close look at my policy it sais covers are not covered over 5 years old. S I'm on the hook for these myself.

Prestige was Carver's in house canvas maker I believe...they are no more. I think you would have to check with Carver itself to see if anything is still around.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Most likely, you're going to have to hire a local canvas guy to do a custom build for you.

I had contacted Carver directly as well for patterns for the original Prestige top...no luck, you will need to source a local canvas shop.

Carver Marine Tops did my bridge enclosure. They are not related to Carver Yachts. I would also be looking for a different insurance company. I will try to get the website URL for you tomorrow. It is sewn into the aft curtain. Local shop would be able to make the fit better. 8-) er

Thanks for the replies. After a long exchange we have agreed that I'll pay 20% of the replacement cost. Seeing as I'm paying 20%, I'll go for Straglass in the front 3 panels and standard in the side & stern cockpit covers.

we're looking at re-doing our 13yr Prestige Canvas as well, probably next spring now. Apex Canvas (Dan) was recommended
by several boat owners on our dock. Apex is in Ballard Wa.

We are looking for poly-carbonate panels, that zipper/hing open. Our dockmates configuration was very well done, hoping to get on the list.
