Warning lights above ignition switches?

Postby BarryK » June 3rd, 2020, 3:29 am

Hi all,

I tried to look this up in the owner's manual but could not find out what these lights are for. They have never turned on.

I just had a false alarm from a failed oil pressure switch so I am familiar with the engine buzzer circuit.

Directly about the ignition switches as in the photo are breakers not light, they are for the ignition circuit. The warning lights to the right are for your Walter V-Drives. They should come on when you start the engines but go out when a certain pressure is achieved after 1200 rpm. If they don't go out, there is a problem.

As Viper says.....if you look real close they have a soft cover with the white button you see underneath.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.....

That makes sense, I see they are breaker buttons now!

Yes, the V drive lights are working properly, they go out above 1200 rpm.

The engine warning buzzer was going off on the port engine. It was due to a failed oil pressure sensing switch. I replaced it and all is well now. I got a quick lesson on maneuvering with one engine. We should all practice that more often.

Thank you!
