Fuel Tank Level Switch
Have a 1987 3207 aft cabin. On the salon panel there is the left/right momentary paddle switch. One of the prongs on the back has broken. Anyone know how to find this replacement switch? I would like to get 2 new as they have been acting up as when you’d hold the switch over to either position the needle would come in view then go away and be intermittent. I was attempting to spray contact cleaner in the switches as I’m pretty sure it’s just contacts with corrosion, when the darn terminal snapped off. Thx for any guidance. Greg.

Re: Fuel Tank Level Switch
Can't help with the switch manufacturer. I realize you have a broken switch now but if replaced and still not working properly,, I've had more issues with fuel senders in the gas tank acting like your describing rather than the fuel tank selector switch

Yes that was a thought of mine as well. If you have a part number of the sending units to share I’d be grateful. Thank you.

Re: Fuel Tank Level Switch
if keeping the oem guages then Moeller makes several adjustable ones. just measure depth outside of tank order the one that covers the measurement and when you get it it will have instructions on how to customize the length and float on it for your tank. there simple float senderes like you probably have now and been around for years unless you want to go more hi tech.
if you want to verify the guage is reading and not flakey you can test the wiring at the tank just ground the pink wire or whatever that's attached to the sender and turn on the guage it should read full. If not its the guage. the carver oem guages 240-33 ohm universal and moeller i mentioned will work just fine.

Re: Fuel Tank Level Switch
The switch is pretty standard. SPDT-momentary contact.
One the fuel tank senders I've also had a lot of luck just cleaning the connections at the tank. There's a ground and a sender lead and both of mine had corrosion and would cause intermittent meter readings. Replaced the crimp-ons and cleaned the terminals before pushed the new ones on.

That switch should be easy to find at any good marine supply store. Or, it can be ordered thru Land & Sea, Northern, or Marysville Marine. The store will have dealer status for each of those.

Local auto store has the switch.when the flooring is removed I’ll look at the terminals for corrosion

Re: Fuel Tank Level Switch
You probably don't have to remove flooring to get access. On my 3607 there were a couple access panels hidden in the carpet in the 'cubby' storage areas that were right above the fuel senders. Just lift them up and look below. Not sure on the 3207 but would be surprised if it wasn't similar.

Girlfriends boat so I’ll have a look for another access. Floors will be pulled up for winterizing shortly. One way or another! Thx
