Crusader 6.0 T-stat question
Hi, have 2004 Crusader 6.0s... hopefully a simple question...to change the t-stat on the heat exchanger, do you need to drain off any of the coolant? I can’t tell if the housing is below or above the degas bottle fluid level... thanks!

On my 6.0 heat exchanger, I lowered the level of antifreeze a little. I used a pump I use for oil and transmission fluid changes. Changed out the heat exchanger, Thermostat and all hoses on the starboard engine last spring. I sold my boat, but have a partial set of new hoses for the 6.0 and I think I have a new t-stat available which I was going to put on the port engine. Was planning to list them on EBay after the first of the year but will entertain selling them for a decent price here, if you can use them. PM me if you or anyone else is interested.
