New Carver Owner in P-Cola

Post by jecaperton »

Good morning all. My wife and I just bought our 1999 450 Voyager Pilothouse. We are hoping to cruise the gulf coast, Keys and Caribbean islands. This is my first boat (yep went big), but luckily, my wife had her captains ticket earlier in life. Hope to meet up with folks during our voyages. Stay safe everyone.

We bought our first boat 4 years ago (a 396 Carver Aft Cabin). There was a leaning curve but we are pros now. Back in the 1970s, I ran small boats for the USCG but nothing over 24 feet and all single screw. I now am very comfortable with the twin screws and can dock with ease.

Congratulations, you’re going to love the boat. I purchased a 1999 450 Voyager in the spring. I’m impressed that it’s your first boat. Good luck and smooth sailing.
