PVC Vinyl flooring on decks CPMY 390

Post by Sailor Robbert »

Hi Guys,

This was a project that I did 2 years ago and was actually a trial, I bought 2 mm thick PVC Vinyl flooring and glued this on my decks with carpet water proof glue.
Now 2 winters later the vinyl is still intact and doesn't come loose at all. It gives a real authentic look and is easy to clean.
I'm glad I took the chance and enjoy it every day I'm on the ship.

Looks great  What's the product and where did you get it? I'm sure others would like the info.

Hi Viper,
I bought this in the Netherlands on an internet site. This is actually a carpet that you would buy for the house. You buy it off the roll. Only this type is special made for marine purpose.
Have a look on the site, the product is called Teak nauticfloor.

Good job. I did something similar inside my Fisher25 some years ago, but with a cheap 'non-slip' vinyl bought from a local carpet shop (off-cuts, too, cost about £15). I've wanted to do something with the cockpit decks on my 2827, looking at the same sort of material, as the bare white of the covers is a bit off-putting. Unfortunately, it would add to the already considerable weight of the things, which I already find something of a burden. Got to be done, though; perhaps artificial grass? :beergood:
