Streaming Netflix Tip

Post by Midnightsun »

I busted our gig allotment for our LTE internet on the boat last month mainly due to Netflix with the grandson on board. Turns out you can change the parameters of the quality you want to receive which greatly reduces the amount of data used. I was at the best quality setting which can eat up to 7 gig/hour on full 4k. Lowered this down to the lowest setting which will only allow .3 gig/hour. On smaller TVs this is very acceptable video quality. Simply log into your account via computer or phone where this can be changed in the Account/Choose a profile/Playback settings. Will need to revert back once at home cause it will look like crap on an 80" screen. :-D
