Flush A/C System 450 Voyager

Good morning all.

I have been attempting to flush the raw water lines in the A/C system. No problem with the strainers etc, but still getting HPF issues. Filters are clean (thanks for all the input on that subject) so units are serviced.

Is there a way to flush the system in a recirculating loop or can I only fill till I see it coming out of the drain, turn it off and let it sit for 20-30 minutes? YouTube is great for general info, but I am hoping to hear from folks with the 450 Voyager and how they do this maintenance.

Hello,

Get some phosphoric acid (I've used concrete cleaner prep and etch by kleen strip at home depot) put 2 - 3 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket and a 250hph bilge pump. Remove hose from output side of strainer basket and connect to output of the pump. On each of your AC units the top raw water hose should be the return. If you can't easily disconnect where it goes overboard disconnect it at the AC and return that back to the 5 gallon bucket. Just cut up some old 5/8" garden hose, it'll be 5/8 I.D. Do one unit at a time and cycle through each unit 2-3 hours if you want it clean. I connect up all units to the bucket and just pinch the returns on the ones I'm not doing.

Don't do this with muriatic acid, it'll be way too long...

Thanks much. I will work using this method. I have tried flushing each line individually after the manifold, but got some odd results.
