Starlink Portability
Hmmm, this is getting interesting. Not that it is available yet for in-motion however the article does say they are working on it for RVs and boats. Definitely will jump on board when this happens. https://www.iclarified.com/85856/starli ... -from-home

Re: Starlink Portability
Ya it looks like the roaming has been 'activated' and seems like a real game changer for internet in remote locations. I look forward to your in-depth review!

Re: Starlink Portability
Hans, for those not in the know, you may want to explain what this service is for.

Re: Starlink Portability
Good point Viper.
Starlink is basically Elon Musk's answer to internet for all in outlying regions. Internet via satellite that is a much better speeds and affordable. This will explain it better than my ramblings. https://www.starlink.com/

I wonder if the supply of dishes has improved - I was hearing a year waitlist before.

Re: Starlink Portability
I do have Bell Expressvu (same as Dish Network a la Canada style) on board with an intellian i2 in motion dish.
https://www.intelliantech.com/products/ ... te-tv/i2/# Works well however this would replace the Intellian killing 2 birds with one stone. No need for satellite TV once one can get high speed internet on board and be almost anywhere not like cell coverage hot spotting that can be spotty at times depending where your boat is located.

Re: Starlink Portability
They just announced StarLink for RVs a couple of days ago. Not for use while in motion. No waiting time. Same $ for equipment. $30.00 more per month for mobility. Service priority is lower than home use. Once you get StarLink for RVs, you cannot just switch to home use. You have to cancel and resubscribe, if I understand it right. Videos on YouTube.

Re: Starlink Portability
Make sure you look at the map for coverage as there are many places where it is not available. In my boating area no luck and most of the Great Lakes region is also blacked out. It is promised for 2023 though so yes interesting however I definately would prefer an in motion system which has also been promised. https://www.starlink.com/rv
