Hi,
I was wondering if you could give a fellow Carver 38 SS owner a hand? I have a cracked window on the port side and need to replace it. I think the same panes of glass have been replaced on both the starboard and port side. I say that because the dots (frits) are decals and not painted on and baked like all the other windows. I was wondering if you could check your window and see if it's baked on frits dots or decals? It's driving me nuts on why this window cracked and if they have been replaced before. I have added a few pics of what I am talking about.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum
Let me say , I don't have a 38ss... I don't know what the original window material was but is it possible the replacements you have there are a form of plexi/lexan plastic window material.....those cracks look suspiciously like how it stress cracks....

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Hi Bud37,
I'm pretty certain that it's glass. The original material is also glass. Thanks for responding.
