2004 Carver 360 Sport Sedan-Window
Hello, I'm trying to locate a STRB side Window for a 2004 Carver 360 Sport Sedan. I'm unable to locate. Wondering if anyone had success in finding?

Re: 2004 Carver 360 Sport Sedan-Window
I have the same issue on a 2003. The previous owner pressed against an anchor and shattered the same window pretty much the same way. There were two options being explored when we bought the boat early this year:
1. Replace with a smoked plastic that can be molded into the complex curves required. My concern with this approach is that it wouldn't match the other windows for tint. It would be close and I have a couple samples that were provided for matching purposes.
2. Source the original window from Taylormade, but the information I was given is that it would have to be custom ordered, come from UK, and cost over $1,000 just in shipping.
Rather than wait on the seller to address the issue, we accepted the boat with it as is and it is still on my project list to get it addressed at some point. The boat just went through hurricane Ian without issue (we're in central Florida so didn't get the full force of the storm), so it is a cosmetic item rather than a safety/security item for me.

I'd be careful with that. They're designed to take a certain amount of stress and not fail in some rough sea conditions. Should something happen and the system was modified, I doubt an insurance company would honor a claim if it failed and it came to light that an improper replacement was used.Alanna Mo Cree wrote:Qr Bbpost....it is a cosmetic item rather than a safety/security item....

As far as protection from shattering under conditions, you could consider applying a foil, inside or outside depending on the quality you can get.
If that works for you, you could apply a thin resin to fill the cracks/consolidate what's left. Not perfect but damage control.

Mine was already shattered. We are on a small lake and river so we don't see rough sea conditions. I wouldn't take it out in anything significant as it is, and I plan to go with the correct replacement when the time comes.

Re: 2004 Carver 360 Sport Sedan-Window
Hello! We have recently come across the need to replace the starboard side hinged window on our 2004 360 sport sedan. Our windows are made by Trend Marine and not TaylorMade. We have reached out to them in the last few days to check on a template or a replacement as they are located in the UK. We have a manual that has the part number. Great Lakes Skipper actually looked for one in the US without success, you might check to see if he has your window? We would rather have the correct replacement rather than one made, nor the plastic. Good Luck to you, if we get any success, even a template to be able to make in the US, I will let you know.
