Hello all!
I completed the restoration of a Montego 23 about a year ago and I am ready to move on to a bigger boat. A freshwater 1988 Santego 27 came up for sale with an incredibly coveted slip at the lake 10 minutes from me. I haven't been looking much at Carvers, but it is a good deal and the slip is very appealing. She has the twin 4.3s with new A1 outdrives last year, fresh tune up on the engines, LED light conversions, and many more upgrades. I am definitely going to look at her pretty seriously, but I wanted to get some advice in regards to a model I am relatively unfamiliar with.
I appreciate your feedback and look forward to reading responses!

Re: '88 Santego 27
The Santego's were very popular due to their roomy and functional appeal. Hull is solid up to about 8" above the waterline, balsa core on top decks. A lot of those production years had Crusader engines. The A1's are cheap to replace if needed. If the vessel has been taken care of, it is a really excellent boat!
