454xl leaking fuel
My port side 454xl leaking fuel from pump into fuel filter. Has anyone had to repair this? If so, was it more difficult to find the replacement pipe or the actual repair itself. Thanks for any replies in advance.

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
Have you tried snugging up that fitting ?
Is the leak coming thru the threads....looks like it but real hard to tell from the pic, a bit dark. Sometimes lines get bumped and it loosens the fittings. Good luck and be careful with fuel leaks, they can be extremely dangerous.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
Ironically after going through it was about 3 fittings that were very loose and of course fuel seeping through. We just tightened them, put some absorbent pads down to see if it will leak overnight. Fingers crossed that loose fittings is all it was. Thank you for your response!! Appreciate it!

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
Hopefully you found the problem. But please be cautious.
The leaks were most likely on the pressure side of the fuel system. So once the pressure is relieved the leaks will stop and you will not see any leaks overnight.
So please make sure you look again when the system is under pressure. make sure to ventilate well and have extinguishers handy just in case.
Best wishes!

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
Looks like it has been pried on a few times, quite deformed........by any chance was there thread tape on the threads of the male end when you took it apart ?
Be sure to get matching fittings when you reassemble.

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
Thread tape only on male part coming from fuel line. But yes it definitely seems like it’s been toyed with a few times. Luckily where I’m located a local company does custom fittings and piping and they had it in stock. Now just to hook everything back on and hope for the best!

Re: 454xl leaking fuel
That looks to be a reverse/inverted flare, I wouldn't put any tape on that, should seal just fine.
