1994 390 FWD head lights

Postby tonyiiiafl » September 8th, 2023, 8:57 am

Nice surprise this AM…turned on the FWD lights in the head and the 13W flourcents that are on either side of the mirror, well the one on the right started to dim and smoke got the switch disconnected quickly and it appears the circuit board shorted out. Any ideas of where I can get these fixtures and possibly LED? I would replace both.

THANKS!

If it's a 12 volt hook up, 12 volt LED replacement bulbs are available in various sizes now. Rip out the electrical guts of the existing fixture and run power directly to the bulbs would be my recommendation if you want to keep the original fixtures. They're all over Amazon.

Didn’t think of that! I will measure the fixture and see what I can get for tubes in LED. THANK YOU

Tony...maybe you remember the old song about the pitfalls of "Smoking in the boys room."....... ;-)

Led would be the way to go though.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.....

Bid, that was some smoke, all I will say! Yes, it will be LED for sure.
